Grand Isle, Louisiana closed its beaches due to the presence of oil on its shoreline. Organizations are still looking for possible ways to clean up the oily mess while tourists adjust their vacation plans. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal and officials from coastal parishes want to implement the sand beams immediately to protect Louisiana's marshes. The plan is awaiting approval from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Dead birds and fishes have been washed up on shore, and Louisiana is hoping British Petroleum will implement a plan of action as soon as possible.
